Christmas Letter 2005
Dear Ones:
The lights are hung,
the Nativity Set is out,
and we have a new tradition:
help Grandma decorate her tree.
It’s more fun with lots of help!
We are proud of our adult children,
who are meeting their life challenges admirably:
We see them all often.
Our four grandchildren are
four, five, six and seven years old already!
Memorable this year: I went on a ten day silent meditation retreat,
can you imagine!
My husband and I committed to a pretty vegetarian diet too,
for the sake of good health in old age.
We acquired Buddha, a golden male Llasa Apso puppy
who is trying to take over the household while our seventeen year old cat
just goes on like the Energizer Bunny.
We have travel plans for later,
season tickets to Broadway Plays in Portland,
and family pleasures at home too.
Though we love our motor-home,
it is “resting” till the gas prices come down a bit.
Indeed,
Our Cup Runeth Over!
We pray for the end of war in Iraq and everywhere,
for hope and progress for those caught in terrible weather consequences this year,
and for all those who are ill.
And we pray for your good health and happiness throughout the coming year!
